Volleyball Preview: Deer Valley Wolverines vs. Heritage Patriots        
        
		
             Deer Valley hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. After both having extra time off,  the two teams will dust off their jerseys to  challenge  one another  at 6:30  p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 Having struggled with three  losses in a row, Deer Valley finally turned things around against Chavez  on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  victory over the Titans.
 Deer Valley  couldn't miss and  finished the game having scored on 41.5% of their attack attempts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  hitting percentage total in three consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Heritage and Central Catholic met for a duel  on Saturday where Heritage came out on top. Heritage skirted past Central Catholic  2-1. The  win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Heritage had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-21,  15-5.
 Deer Valley pushed their record up to 7-16 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  match:  Deer Valley hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 4.7  blocks per game. It's a different story for Heritage, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.4. Given Deer Valley's sizable advantage in that area, Heritage will need to find a way to close that gap.
