Basketball Recap: Herreid/Selby Takes a Loss

Herreid/Selby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sully Buttes Chargers, falling 77-38. The Wolverines lost against the Chargers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-46 score last time.

Herreid/Selby's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Sully Buttes, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herreid/Selby will square off against Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sully Buttes, they will challenge Mobridge-Pollock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sully Buttes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Mobridge-Pollock likes a good challenge.
