Volleyball Recap: Barry County Christian Triumphs

Barry County Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Barry County Christian has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science, too.

Avah Lilley paced Barry County Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Lilley got some help from Tori Cramer and her four assists. Lillia Hamilton controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Barry County Christian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fellowship Baptist Academy on the 21st. As for West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Creative Technologies Academy at 5:30 p.m. on September 2.
