Basketball Recap: Dunsmuir Comes Up Short

Dunsmuir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Happy Camp Indians 58-14. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 54-26 to the Indians when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dunsmuir got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Elijah Russell and Tenki Ui, who each put up five points.

Dunsmuir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Happy Camp, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Dunsmuir will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Big Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Happy Camp, they will take on South Fork in a tournament on Friday.
