Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Christian Heritage Academy

Christian Heritage Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Ridgeview Christian Crusaders 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Christian Heritage Academy got a massive performance out of Gavin Hodges, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Hodges a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Bowles, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Christian Heritage Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeview Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
