Softball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, West Point finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 15-1 to the Westmoreland Eagles. The matchup marked the Pointers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West Point's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for Westmoreland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

West Point and Westmoreland will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pointers are set to face off against their familiar foe King & Queen Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westmoreland will challenge rival Essex at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
