Soccer Recap: Chicago Academy's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Chicago Academy lost against Schurz back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Chicago Academy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Schurz are ranked 186th).

Chicago Academy's goal came courtesy of Aaron Holloway, who's now up to two this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chicago Academy fell to 5-1-2. As for Schurz, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Chicago Academy will face off against North Grand at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chicago Academy will be up against North Grand's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Schurz, they will take on Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
