Baseball Recap: Idaho Falls Gets the Win

Idaho Falls hadn't beaten Blackfoot on the road since April 20, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 14-13. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Broncos on Thursday, they had to take a 13-12 loss.

Hudson Palmer was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Idaho Falls' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Yorgason, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Idaho Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Idaho Falls now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Blackfoot, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

As of now, neither Idaho Falls nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
