Basketball Game Preview: Fulton Red Raiders vs. East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans

Fulton and East Syracuse-Minoa are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Fulton Red Raiders will challenge the East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Fulton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Monday, Fulton was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitesboro, taking the game 62-49.

Meanwhile, East Syracuse-Minoa was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 54-48 to Fayetteville-Manlius. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Hornets are ranked 97th).

Fulton's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Fulton strolled past East Syracuse-Minoa in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 67-50. Will Fulton repeat their success, or does East Syracuse-Minoa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
