Nash Central hadn't done well against Southern Nash recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 75-68 victory over the Firebirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-52 last Tuesday.

Southern Nash's loss came despite strong showings from Jaden Hartsfield and Dayson Sanders. Hartsfield almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Sanders shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points and eight boards. Hartsfield is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Javean Perry was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Nash Central's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Southern Nash, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Nash Central will head out to face off against Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Nash, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against D.H. Conley at 7:30 p.m.
