Baseball Recap: Northeast Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bullitt Central

There's no place like home for Northeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the Bullitt Central Cougars 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since March 11th.

The team relied heavily on Luke Dudley, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Tucker Brakke also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win got Northeast back to even at 10-10. As for Bullitt Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Northeast will square off against Palm Harbor University at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bullitt Central, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fairdale at 5:30 p.m.
