Basketball Recap: Prairie Skates Past Hempstead with Ease

Prairie won the last time they faced Hempstead and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Prairie Hawks took their game with ease, bagging a 75-43 victory over the Hempstead Mustangs. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Prairie's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Hempstead, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie will face off against Iowa City West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
