Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Comes Up Short

Michigan Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish.

Peter VanderLugt was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Ealey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Michigan Lutheran now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Michigan Lutheran has already played their next matchup (against Kalamazoo HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they will challenge Portage Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
