St. Louis HomeSchool P dropped their record down to 21-14 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of Parkway South by a score of  7-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Louis HomeSchool P of the  7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2018.
 Noah Parker put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Will Schark made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI.  Ben Janssen was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs.
As for Parkway South, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.
On Parkway South's side,  Jake Frenz looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Frenz a new career-high in  strikeouts (four).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jamison Lombardo, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  August Johansen, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Looking ahead, St. Louis HomeSchool P will take on St. Dominic at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Parkway South, they have already played their next match,  a  3-1  defeat against Washington on the 9th.
