Basketball Recap: Brevard Comes Up Short

Brevard lost against Hendersonville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Brevard Blue Devils received a blow as they fell 61-46 to the Hendersonville Bearcats.

Hendersonville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Martiste Mills out in front who posted 20 points in addition to five assists and four steals. That's the most points Mills has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Wynn, who had 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Brevard's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hendersonville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Brevard will take on Polk County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brevard is facing Polk County at the right time seeing as Polk County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hendersonville, they will face off against East Rutherford at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Hendersonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
