Soccer Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats. The match was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Airport it sure didn't stay that way.

Airport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Brookland-Cayce, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Airport will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gilbert at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will welcome North Augusta at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th. North Augusta will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Brookland-Cayce surely won't give up without a fight.
