Softball Recap: Molalla Comes Up Short

Molalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against The Dalles Riverhawks, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Molalla saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josie Brooks, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Molalla's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for The Dalles, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-8.

While Molalla had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
