Baseball Recap: Haverling Victorious

After losing to Livonia the last time they met, Haverling decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rams came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-1 on Monday.

Gage Thomas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lukas Wightman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Haverling's record is now 4-2. As for Livonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Haverling will challenge rival Hornell at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Livonia is set to square off against their familiar foe Dansville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
