Elkins took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Charleston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Elks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 10-8. The win was nothing new for the Elks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elkins' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Charleston, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Elkins will venture away from home to square off against Greenland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charleston, they will welcome Magazine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
