Soccer Game Preview: Wylie vs. Memorial

Wylie hasn't had much luck against Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Wylie lost 5-2 to Abilene on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Wylie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Abilene are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Memorial's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Legacy by a score of 1-0. Memorial have struggled against Legacy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-2. As for Wylie, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.

Wylie might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Memorial in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
