Reigning MaxPreps National Player of the Year Sharife Cooper has been on a tear to start the high school basketball season, leading McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) to a 6-0 record and averaging 33.8 points per contest.

Saturday night he may have put together the most impressive performance of his special high school career, going off for 52 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 99-75 victory over Windsor Forest.

The five-star guard's incredible performance came one day after producing 44 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a signature early season victory over a talented Mayfair (Lakewood, Calif.) squad led by Josh Christopher and Dior Johnson.

Last season, Cooper became the first non-senior to win MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors.

The 6-foot-1 Cooper led McEachern to its first state title, averaging 28.6 points, 8.6 assists and 4.1 steals per game for the 32-0 Indians.

McEachern extended its win streak to 38 games Saturday night, while Cooper asserted himself as the MaxPreps National Player of the Year frontrunner after back-to-back scintillating performances over the weekend.
