Newton-Conover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Sain, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. Those 20 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Hadleigh Swagger was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
When it comes to explaining why Lincolnton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Rhyne. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Curmiya Tillman, who scored six points along with four steals.

As for Lincolnton, they will head out on the road to face off against Bandys at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bandys is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
