Calvary Baptist scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 65-45 to the Covenant Academy Patriots. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Calvary Baptist lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Thomas Heine, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Hargrave, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Calvary Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Calvary Baptist and Covenant Academy will both be playing Founders Christian the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
