Volleyball Recap: Perry's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Perry barely beat Canton Central Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Perry never let Canton Central Catholic on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-21.

Elaine Laubacher paced Perry's offense, picking up 13 kills. Laubacher got some help from Makenna Knop and her 19 assists. Lila Kleve and Bailey Weirich kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Perry's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Canton Central Catholic, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.

Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Marlington on the 29th.
