Olean has gone 9-1 against Dunkirk recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. Dunkirk took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Olean, who comes in off a win.
Olean is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Salamanca 13-1 last Wednesday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Emma Edwards made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Olean got a massive performance out of Riley Sudbrook, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Sudbrook a new career-high. Anna Bates was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
Olean was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Gowanda hit Dunkirk with a four-run fourth inning last Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Marauders came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-5.
Olean's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Dunkirk, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
Everything went Olean's way against Dunkirk in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Olean made off with a 14-0 win. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
