Recap: Decatur Central Hawks vs. Princeton Tigers
The Decatur Central Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Princeton 78-74. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Princeton was led to victory by Mallory Watt and Azaryon Wesley. Watt scored 22 points, while Wesley scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Lexi Smith, who scored 11 points.
Decatur Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Princeton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur Central will take on Fishers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fishers is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Princeton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Boonville at 7:00 p.m.
