It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Western sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Not much got past Lucy George, who gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Tri-West Hendricks off the board. George has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive pitching appearances.
