Moline proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Quincy Blue Devils 3-2. The Maroons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Kayley Reynolds was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Dennis, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Lana Edkin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Moline's record now sits at 8-14. As for Quincy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

As for Quincy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Alleman at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
