Baseball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral lost against Cathedral back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lobos fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 4-3. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chaparral saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Molina, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Cathedral, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will square off against Deming at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Cathedral, they will challenge San Elizario at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
