Soccer Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the West Ashley Wildcats, falling 14-1. While losing is never fun, Manning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 161st, while West Ashley are ranked 48th).

Manning's goal came courtesy of Edward Morales, who's now up to five this season.

Manning's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Ashley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Manning will challenge Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Ashley, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Academic Magnet at 7:15 p.m. Academic Magnet will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something West Ashley surely won't give up without a fight.
