Soccer Game Preview: Moon Valley vs. Greenway

Moon Valley and Greenway are an even 3-3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Moon Valley Rockets will head out to take on the Greenway Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Moon Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Paradise Honors and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Panthers are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Greenway brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over Shadow Mountain on Monday. It was an even better day for Daniel Perez as he scored three goals for his team.

Greenway's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Moon Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
