Football Recap: Homedale Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Fruitland + How To Watch

Homedale faced Fruitland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans lost 43-21 to the Grizzlies. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Homedale lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kade Hall, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of scores.

Titus Vidlak was his usual excellent self, rushing for 130 yards and one TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 225 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes for Fruitland. Vidlak didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended two passes. Killian Wilson also helped out as he racked up 147 rushing yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Homedale fell to 6-1. As for Fruitland, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
