Baseball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Aaron Tolbert made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Easley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-8 otherwise.

Easley's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for T.L. Hanna, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

T.L. Hanna didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-6 defeat against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 16th. Hopefully Easley payed attention to the Yellow Jackets' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
