Football Recap: Mancos Victorious + How To Watch

Mancos had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Melrose Buffaloes by a score of 14-6. This was payback for the Bluejays, who suffered a 50-22 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Michael Resner had a dynamite game, rushing for 164 yards, while also throwing for 69 yards and one touchdown. Those 164 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Melrose and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mancos will face off against Sedgwick County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Melrose, they will host Alamo Navajo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
