Soccer Recap: Anson Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Anson was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Montgomery Central Timberwolves. Anson were not able to make up for their defeat to Montgomery Central from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

Anson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Montgomery Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anson will host West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Stanly will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Anson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montgomery Central, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Southern Lee at 6:00 p.m.
