Basketball Recap: Leo Khonesavanh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Valley Christian over Anderson Valley

Valley Christian managed to keep up with Anderson Valley until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lions came up short against the Panthers, falling 88-66. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Valley Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leo Khonesavanh, who posted 14 points. James Shevchuk was another key player, putting up ten points.

Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Anderson Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Potter Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anderson Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-48 defeat against Lower Lake on the 3rd.
