Jefferson Forest hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Amherst County Lancers by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Jefferson Forest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Amherst County are ranked 162nd).

Jefferson Forest hit Amherst County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gabe Ward, Jonah Chernov, and Nico Bellanger.

Jefferson Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-0-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. As for Amherst County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Forest will head out to face off against Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
