Football Recap: Zion Christian Academy Falls to Lewis County in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Zion Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Lewis County Panthers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 39-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lewis County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolt Skelton out in front who threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Drew Ray helped Skelton out on the ground, rushing for 70 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Looking ahead, Zion Christian Academy will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewis County, they will be playing at home against Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
