Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside lost against Ribault back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Generals lost 14-7 to the Trojans. The Generals' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Josh Skipper was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Adrian Gonzalez, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Riverside's record now sits at 2-15. As for Ribault, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on ED White at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Commanders have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Ribault, they will challenge Westside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
