Basketball Recap: Olivia Patai Key Part of a Team Effort in Gators Win

Green Valley lost to Silverado back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Green Valley Gators secured a 33-29 W over the Silverado Skyhawks. The Gators didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Green Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Patai out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Patai is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Ramirez, who posted six points and four steals.

Green Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Silverado, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Green Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Silverado is facing Sunrise Mountain at the right time seeing as Sunrise Mountain is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
