Softball Game Preview: Willamette Wolverines vs. South Eugene Axe

The Willamette Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the South Eugene Axe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Willamette and four for South Eugene.

Willamette came up short against Silverton on Saturday, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for South Eugene's offense. They lost 15-0 to Roseburg on Friday.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Willamette, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Willamette couldn't quite finish off South Eugene in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 10-8. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
