Volleyball Recap: Lake Zurich Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Lake Zurich came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Huntley Red Raiders by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Lake Zurich not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Huntley to exactly 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Konrad Bochonko paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up nine kills. Bochonko got some help from Wyatt Jones and his 14 assists.

Lake Zurich's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-3. As for Huntley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Lake Zurich will head out to take on New Trier at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Huntley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harlem at 5:00 p.m.
