It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but SouthWest Edgecombe ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the West Craven Eagles 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Eagles on Tuesday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Chase Taylor and Parker Gay made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Taylor pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
