Volleyball Recap: South El Monte Comes Up Short

South El Monte came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Southlands Christian. South El Monte's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

South El Monte took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-21.

Despite the loss, South El Monte still got an impressive performance from Lexis Jacobo, who had 31 digs. Jacobo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

South El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Southlands Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, South El Monte will welcome Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southlands Christian, they will take on The Webb Schools at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Southlands Christian their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
