Volleyball Game Preview: Hardin Valley Academy Hawks vs. Powell Panthers

The Hardin Valley Academy Hawks will head out to take on the Powell Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hardin Valley Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Hardin Valley Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Bearden and fell 3-2.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Powell and Halls had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

While Powell won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Hardin Valley Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Powell, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Hardin Valley Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Powell in their previous matchup back in August, winning 2-0. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
