Baseball Game Preview: Lake Ridge Eagles vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers

The Lake Ridge Eagles will head out to take on the Colleyville Heritage Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lake Ridge's offense. They fell 3-0 to Mansfield on Thursday.

Lake Ridge got a good showing from Sean Wilson, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, Wilson posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last three games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colleyville Heritage, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past Grapevine 3-2.

Lake Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-2 record this season. Colleyville Heritage's record now sits at 7-8.

Lake Ridge couldn't quite get it done against Colleyville Heritage in their previous matchup back in March of 2017 as they fell 5-1. Can Lake Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
