Soccer Game Preview: Leicester vs. Auburn

The Leicester Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Auburn Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Leicester's offense. They fell just short of Grafton by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Leicester have struggled against Grafton recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Auburn hasn't lost a match since October 1st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They never let North get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Auburn is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-4-4 record this season. As for Leicester, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-2.

Leicester beat Auburn 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
