Volleyball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley lost against Platteville back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blackhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillmen.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Ella Myers paced River Valley's offense, picking up 17 kills. Myers got some help from Josie Mahoney and her 24 assists. Finally, Izzy Roth kept River Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Platteville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

River Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Brookwood on the 6th. As for Platteville, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Aquinas on the 6th.
