Basketball Recap: Harbor Light Christian Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Harbor Light Christian came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They beat the North Michigan Christian Academy Comets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 57-39. Given the Swordsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Comets are ranked 430th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harbor Light Christian pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harbor Light Christian has already played their next contest (against Ellsworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Michigan Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Cedarville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
