Gaston had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They received a blow as they fell 52-34 to the West End Patriots. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gaston will challenge Ranburne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West End, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crossville at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
